Serve overseas.
Haven of Hope leads short-term mission trips to Zambia and Uganda twice a year. These trips focus on ministering to the students in our partner schools and may include opportunities to serve community members or teach local church leaders. They are also an opportunity to build relationships with the children and adults in the communities we serve, encouraging and loving them in Jesus's name. In this way, trips are as much about "being" as "doing." Through relationship, we seek to demonstrate and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Trips are open to everyone, whether you are an individual, family, or group. Do you sponsor a child or a teacher? Join a trip to their country and meet them in person. Are you a pastor with a heart to train church leaders, or do you have another talent or skill that you'd like to use to bless others? Please contact us. We plan trip activities not only around the needs of those we serve, but also around the knowledge, talents, and resources of our team members. Go—and expect to be blessed, challenged, and changed. We believe that every trip is an opportunity for God to work in us, as well as through us. We seek to serve with open minds and hearts, ready to learn from those around us and listen and respond to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Please take some time to ask the Lord whether He is leading you to join our next trip. We would love to have you with us! |
Coming Up!

About the Trip
Destination: Uganda
Dates: January 18–29, 2021
Please note: This trip is contingent on the resumption and safety of international travel, which we will monitor as the coronavirus pandemic continues to unfold. If you are interested in this trip, please contact us and we will keep you updated on its status.
Our mission team will be traveling to the village of Bugoi, in the Kaberamaido District in rural northeastern Uganda. There, we will visit Haven of Hope's partner school and spend several days serving, building relationships, and seeking to bless its students. Our team will teach, worship, pray, and play with them, as well as deliver letters and Christmas gifts from their sponsors. If you sponsor a child in Uganda, you will be able to spend time with them and visit their home. Pastors and ministry leaders on our trip are invited to take part in teaching local pastors, and our team will attend a local church service, where we will worship with our Ugandan brothers and sisters and serve in Sunday morning ministry. As our team comes together, we will consult with the school about other ways we might serve its community. The trip will end with time in the beautiful town of Jinja, where we will rest, visit its craft markets, and likely spend a morning serving with the organization Sole Hope.
Total cost: $2,400, all-inclusive. See below for more details.
Payment deadlines:
Register by September 1, 2020 (no deposit due)
$1,400 (first payment), along with scans of your passport and yellow fever card, due by October 15, 2020
$1,000 (second payment) due by December 15, 2020
Dates: January 18–29, 2021
