Serve overseas.
Haven of Hope leads short-term mission trips to Zambia and Uganda twice a year. These trips focus on ministering to the students in our partner schools and may include opportunities to take part in pastoral training or community service. They are also an opportunity to build relationships with the children and adults in the communities we serve, encouraging and loving them in Jesus's name. In this way, trips are as much about "being" as "doing." Through relationship, we seek to demonstrate and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Trips are open to everyone, whether you are an individual, family, or group. Do you sponsor a child or a teacher? Join a trip to their country and meet them in person. Are you a pastor with a heart to train church leaders, or do you have another talent or skill that you'd like to use to bless others? Please contact us. We plan trip activities not only around the needs of those we serve, but also around the knowledge, talents, and resources of our team members. Go—and expect to be blessed, challenged, and changed. We believe that every trip is an opportunity for God to work in us, as well as through us. We seek to serve with open minds and hearts, ready to learn from those around us and listen and respond to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Please take some time to ask the Lord whether He is leading you to join our next trip. We would love to have you with us! |

About the Trip
Destination: Zambia
Dates: June 15–27, 2020
Our mission team will be traveling to the city of Ndola and town of Luanshya in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia. There, we will visit Haven of Hope’s two Zambian partner schools and spend several days serving, building relationships, and seeking to bless their students. Our team will have the opportunity to teach, worship, pray, and play with the students, and we will deliver letters from their sponsors and help them write back. We may also have the opportunity to do a service project at one of the Haven of Hope schools, or join the students for a one-day football (soccer) tournament for local schools. If you sponsor a child in Zambia, you will be able to spend time with your child and visit their home. As the trip approaches, we will consult with the schools about any further ways we might serve them. Pastors and ministry leaders on our trip are invited to take part in teaching local pastors, and our team will attend a local church service, where we will worship with our Zambian brothers and sisters. The trip will end with time in the city of Kitwe, where we will serve alongside missionaries Chris and Amy Zimba in their ministry to street children through the organization Abba’s Heart.
Total cost: $3,300, all-inclusive. See below for more details.
Payment deadlines:
$350 deposit due by February 1, 2020
$1,550 (first payment) and a photocopy of your passport due by March 10, 2020
$1,400 (second payment) due by May 10, 2020
