A community is only as healthy as its churches, and healthy churches require healthy leaders.
Haven of Hope serves in communities strongly impacted by spiritual warfare and the physical realities of poverty. In these places, the teaching of the truth and the influence of a thriving church are critical. This starts with well-equipped, spiritually healthy church leaders.

Many pastors in these communities are passionate about preaching the Gospel but have limited access to training and tools to deepen their biblical knowledge and grow as leaders. Through short-term mission trips, Haven of Hope offers biblical teaching to pastors and church leaders, equipping them with Bibles and other resource materials. These events have connected American pastors with Zambian and Ugandan pastors, enabling them to learn from, challenge, encourage, and pray for one another.
Bringing local pastors together to study the Word encourages closer relationships between them and their churches. Pastors are also able to share what they have learned with others in their churches. In this way, the local church as a whole may be strengthened and have a more effective ministry to the surrounding community, as it shares the good news of life and hope in Jesus Christ.

"So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."  Ephesians 4:11–13
